Carina Pollicella

Carina Pollicella (she/her) is a choreographer and performer from Brighton, Michigan, where she started her training at Glenn’s School of Dance and was a part of their competition company. In spring of 2024, Carina obtained her Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Dance from Western Michigan University with a certification in Dance Studio Management. Throughout her time at WMU, she performed in works from faculty such as Kelsey Pascich and Carolyn Pavlick. Additionally, she performed in student-run shows and independently choreographed several pieces at WMU between 2022 and 2024. While earning her degree, Carina worked at a local West Michigan dance studio as a competition choreographer and teacher. While in college, she also had the opportunity to be invited to dance intensives such as the Deeply Rooted Dance Intensive and the Hubbard Street Create Intensive, where she trained closely with professional dancers in the Chicago area. Carina is now based in Chicago, IL, where she continues her work as a dance teacher and choreographer. Since moving to Chicago, Carina has choreographed for dance festivals, continued her dance teaching at a local competition studio, and has joined Solarium Dance Company.
